For my part, I would like to understand what may happen to debt on a personal level should fiat collapse. For example,

- if one has a loan at an interest rate they can afford right now, and the market/economy crashes and fiat loses its value, I would think that one would still owe the same amount at the same interest rate (ie if the rate is locked in) ….. and if one has precious metals, which will then be worth more if sold for greatly devalued fiat, then it would be easier to pay off the loan.

Is this correct thinking?

Thanks Alastair, I’ve got a question I'm hoping you can help with.

The impending currency crisis means that the sensible thing is to get out of credit and into real money. However, mining stocks appear ready for takeoff. My question is will mining stocks collapse along with all other equities when the currency crisis happens or will they be safe?

Im asking as I feel I should be in mining stocks but am fearful of them crashing during the currency crisis.

Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Having seen up close the twisted narcissistic mind of the Orange Cheeto and his Nazi gang I cannot find anything redeemable about the clown show currently confronting the global economy Further the idea of WOKE is essentially anti DEI which is a form of white supremacy which is out of Mein Kampf Lastly Cheeto's policy on anything is born out of greed and hence the reason for his anti climate change is based on how the oil industry treats him with monetary support and has nothing to do with a scientific assessment of the problem

We shoul've just called it "austerity" and faced the consequences of Reagan's "free trade" policies long ago. This is much worse than the pre 1929 bubble, and not everyone will survive it. Don't fear causing concern (or fear). "Failing to prepare is preparing to fail".
