There's no way that Alasdair can make the situation more clear. Even if those in power do know the threat, their hands are tied by political realities. I wish it were not so. I think there is a chance that President Trump, if he understood and threat and was willing to do something about it, would have a chance of getting the nation behind him to slash spending in order to save the dollar and the future of America. But...I don't think he understands economics at all.
