Hi Alasdair,

Did you check with Yanis?? I think this Video is A1 generated. Its fake. Yanis has been getting a lot of this recently. Yanis is not going to quote directly from a confidential meeting!!

It's fake. Exact Same back drop with different presenter on another economic subject. Ran an AI scan on it and the AI concluded "synthetic".

Watched most of it and would probably believe central bankers are having a hair pulling session, one of many no doubt. Would Yanis immediately broadcast on SM the flavour of a confidential international monetary meeting ? If he did, then would be has last invite to one.

Alisdair among a few others forecast this situation over much more than 12 months ago. We do not require hyperbole as end game approaches. Thanks to Alaidair everyone on this channel should at this late stage be switched on to "cinematic Spectator mode" and already be reasonably prepared. The months and years ahead will require emotional and spiritual resilience above and beyond mere financial preparedness.

Prayer comes to mind for the less fortunate who do not have anything to prepare with and live hand to mouth already 🙏

You hit it on the head, Ian. Prayer will help immensely. Thanks for raising that issue.

We trust overly much on our own human endeavours much too often, when indeed those of us who would claim to be biblically aware and be blessed by a Living God, should perhaps show more humility by applying that most basic , yet most profoundly effective endeavours - prayer on our own soft knees as exampled by the One we recentky celebrated the birth of.

Recent developments in Iran really do prime my thinking towards "Principalities & Powers" and the Battles ongoing above our heads as we enter times of turmoil.

Are these the birth pains Mark ?

I do wonder ?

Dear Alasdair and fellow Alasdair followers,

I have found in this time of so many fake AI videos, AI will tell us immediately if a video is AI or not. I copied the YouTube address and asked both Gemini and Grok "Is this video real or AI" then pasted ion the address. Both quickly returned the "fake" assessment along with the giveaways as to why,.

I hope others find this helpful.

It is fake. Normally he would say, "I heard a Fed Official say..." Instead we heard simply, "A Fed Official:" Followed by the comment. I agree with Mitch in that while it's a fake AI generated video, the content is valid and alarming. The "AI Asian Guy" is fake too, but those videos are similarly valid and I believe useful.

Alasdair is right though. As he said, fake or not it's the messaging that's very close to the bone here. The warning signs are all there but there's always the unknown unknowns, the ones we don't know we don't know. They're the problem

Agreed that it's fake. It's unlikely that anyone who is not a member of the club wouldbe invited to a BIS gathering. BIS entire reason for existence is it's commitment to keeping discussions between Central Bankers confidential.

With that said, the thrust of the article may be true. If the BIS is true to their beginnings (early 1920's I think), they will be concerned about how irresponsible the US is with it's finances and reserve privilege which threatens the stability of global finance.

In fact, after myself succumbing to this video fraud, I noticed another video by Yanis himself complaining about the many video bots, some Russian, purporting to be him. AI should be surrounded by caution signs!

Shame on you. Read the details before you post a Youtube video.

We know. But an AI presentation doesn’t automatically invalidate the content. Artificial intelligence is better than none at all.

Quite obviously it is an AI fake if one scrutinizes the video closely. There are always tell tale visual giveaways AI Deepfake (facial muscle twiches, non-synched movements of shoulders, jaw, breath etc.) The Yanis Deepfakes may, at the moment, be the most ubiquitous on YT. Yanis himself discusses this issue in a recent interview on Unherd. What he says there is revealing: most of the time the Deepfake versions make utterances very close to what he himself would say. (Varoufakis was himself duped by the Deepfakes until he suddenly realized the blue shirt "he" was wearing on that clip is always kept in his island home and never worn in Athens.) Interspersed between things he would say are lines he never would say. Thus, he is being used for two purposes: 1) For Google to monetize his image, expropriating his audiovisual "identity", thereby gleaning extra ad income from the plethora of fake channels with sizeable followings. (Surrogate identity theft.) 2) For scammers with propaganda motives to insert their own agendas into his rhetoric, therby eliding the dicriminatory barriers of persons they wish to influence. In either case, the net result is more confusion and general mistrust.

See the real Yanis talking about his deepfake problem at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4tjjGrUrVw

There's a danger that these fake AI-generated videos may obscure the very real message that Yanis, Alasdair and others are trying to get across to the wider community.

I think I trust the fake AI one to Yanis. He is full of piss and wind at the best of times. I cant see him being invited to a BIS meeting.

Thats said; today I listened to some podcast. The USA needs to sell $6 or $7 TRILLION of bonds THIS YEAR as a load expire and they need to roll them over. Thats squeaky-bum-time.

Last year they had to recycle some $8T of bonds and the world did not collapse.

Why should we assume this time will be different?

Did I say the world would collapse? Thats last year. Is your $8t figure even accurate? It’s always different isn’t it? Always. The game changes. Unless you are in the Stick in The Mud type of this “time will not be different”. AKA the kiss of death.

And what happens when Japan has to bail itself out by selling? US bonds? Have you seen the JGB 20 year? So Japan.. for the 1st time… becomes a net SELLER of Treasuries from having been a reliable buyer for 20 years or more. 😊

And who ELSE might accelerate the selling of US bonds? China? Huh? 😊

Name me one player left to take up the slack of what is being SOLD and then BUY new issuance?

So…things in 2026 might be very different.

Figures in the $7T-$9T range were published throughout 2025 by ZeroHedge and its contributors with predictions of sharply rising yields and refunding difficulties.

2025 is gone. US 10Y yield down, 2Y yield down.

Over the last four years 10Y JGB yield has gone up from 0.14% to 2.07% now. It’s 15 times. Had my mortgage rate been raised 15 times my world would have collapsed. In Japan? Business as usual, Fuji is still there. Or so it seems.

——

Who is going to buy the trash once nobody wants it? There is a buyer. Limitless and unrestricted. It’s called Federal Reserve. They even restarted QE in December. How convenient.

They will do everything they can to save the system. Always. F*ck the dollar.

——

As for China I don’t even think they will dump their USTs. They have been hoarding the base asset of the new monetary system for a long time and will not look back.

——

I know this can’t go on forever. It won’t. But my humble question was: why should that happen this time? What do you think?

Well… when you play Russian Roulette, the more time you spin the chamber, the greater the chances that you get lead. How many articles have I read about the yen Carry trade and when it blows up? Tons. That only means the chance increases…the longer it doesn’t. That puts conventional thinking on its head and that just means more people get burned. I just went LONG on the VIX. It’s bound to blow out at some point and when it does, you get 30%-50% within a few days. It’s a no brainer. Currently all of the MAG 7 are the stocks everyone is buying to be enveloped inside their own Digital Prison. Madness.

Oil and oil companies and nothing else. Actually it's more about oil companies than oil itself. This is a repeat of history with a different commodity. Governments are not your friend and they care nothing for their citizens but they sure do like money and power. I feel my head about to explode so I must close. God's blessings in the new year.

The near unanimity of commenters as to the veracity of the youtube.com video completely misses the point of the article. Namely, that events are in motion toward the Austrian economics credit collapse that Alasdair has been warning about for years. The 12-18 months timeline to crisis mentioned in the article jibes with my expectation that things will hold together until the Chinese international gold vaulting infrastructure is completed.

If this is not a fake as has been claimed by other comments. I would appreciate your thoughts on how close we are to 'The Great Taking" episode you and I discussed before?
