Great shout out to Alasdair Macleod! Col Macgregor is absolutely spot on and has been for years now and he's outstanding talent with Judge Andrew Napolitano. He absolutely understands that war and geopolitics are primarily about economic power.

As I feared, you couldn’t maintain the quality when you stretched to a full sentence. What on earth do you mean by “right wing”? Right wing characteristics include sound money and fiscal prudence - if you are not right wing in this sense then what are you doing here? Other right wing traits are jingoism, imperialism and nationalism. How does a man deploring endless foreign military adventures fit into this picture?

MCGregor is super. I have been listening to him for 2 years. Great guy who delivers facts and truth. I wish we would have such guy as president.

Smart bloke is our Colonel. He seems to have his finger on the pulse and is way more interesting to listen to than some of our blokes who cannot say anything unless it is written down or on a teleprompter for them. What are they afraid they might say if they adlib. Are the questions asked all written down and approved prior to the interview too? To me, if a guy can stand/sit there for 45 minutes answering questions without a script then in my mind he knows what he is talking about. And yes, I noticed the tartan shield. Nice touch from a fellow Scot🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I'm dismayed by how many people are unaware that, in actuality, WW3 started a decade ago. Even quite intelligent, and generally perspicacious, individuals can't quite conceive of such a war NOT involving nukes flying; or at least large armies battling across large swathes of territory. In general we fail to realize just how much satellites and drones have changed the battlefield.

These comments from right winger MacGregor are problematic Putin is a thug and dictator who doesn't deserve MacGregor's defense and has stripped freedoms from Russians in an autocratic sense .To defend the Russian dictatorship and its attempt to take over Ukraine is disturbing to say the least

Macleod is helpful to point out the Russian Chinese axis in their attempt to turn global markets onto the gold standard and the danger to the dollar But to defend Putin because of his participation in supporting a gold standard is not a reason for support for his war in Ukraine

MacGregor furthers his misinformation and disinformation specifically regarding elections in order to further his right wing positions There is no factual support to his comments Very disturbing and Trumpian Brian Rose is a cut of the same cloth

Terms like “thug”, “monster”, dictator etc seem to be mere childish abuse. But they are actually dangerous in personalizing the conflict and leading people to believe that if the thug could somehow be deposed then all would be well. The reality is that no conceivable Russian leader will allow Ukraine to join NATO. The current CIA Director told the White House (and, inadvertently, the whole world) this fifteen years ago.

You are on the right track from a psychological viewpoint. Demonization is somewhat childish in that it is a sign of lack of personal maturity – a sort of easy attempt for an explanation to a complex situation. It means practising projection of aspects/properties, that are present inside oneself (but which are unconscious), on an external object. Even worse in a conflict is the possibility of two opposite parties excercising the same projection on each other – the “I am good” and “You are evil” game. It is a perfect setup for a serious conflict! It is a very common element in many historical conflicts and wars and I see the risk of this playing out at present in the relation between Russia and the West. At least in Sweden the politicians shows all signs of practising projection which is rather disheartening to realise our leaders are so immature.

You are obviously a goose. These are not right wing comments of course, they're libertarian. We all know who overthrew the democratically elected government in Ukraine in 2014. That would be the United States of America and neocon Victoria Nuland. The same United States that has been completely out-manoeuvred by every nation economically and militarily due to arrogance and incompetence, presumably due to having the reserve currency for far too long. That's what happens when you have the ability to print and spend without immediate consequences.

The idiocy of both sides of politics, left and right, has been plain to see for at least two decades now since the dot-com bomb and especially since the GFC when Bernanke decided go totally insane and end capitalism as we know it. Since then it's been one fool after another, to the point where now the public have begun to lose faith in the democratic process itself. That's the reason for Trump; he's the anti-politician and yes, his policies of further debt expansion and tariffs on everything are also insane will just bring the entire edifice to the ground sooner rather than later.

Nobody here is defending Putin, not even Macgregor. What we are saying is the primary issue is the West is sitting on an unserviceable debt mountain and there is now zero chance of solving that problem without a global reset and economic power moving to the ever-growing BRICS alliance. Hello Thailand. Putin or not, the future of the world economy is in real stuff - commodities anchored in the BRICS and like it or not you have to come to terms with it or go down with the ship.

A thug eh?. A dictator eh?. Well I'll quote George Carlin "You have no choice, you have owners".

And even if there were a choice, it is nothing but mob rule. Vote Harder.

I'll repeat what I wrote to Braithwaite:

Compared to our Russia, people in UK pay so much tax that it is absolute slavery (and wait till capital gains and inflation goes up and more climate taxes come in), live in a police state, mass immigration of criminals, collapsing infrastructure, 15 minute gulags on the way ( ULEZ first step), communism (hard work is not worth it) lockdowns, corrupt courts, aggression against Libya, Syria, Yugoslavia et al, supported CIA Installed coup in 2014 in Ukraine. No free speech, say something politically incorrect on Facebook and get government Cheka thugs knocking on your door. Forced LGBT crap indoctrination in the schools.

Sure -Putin is da new Satan. And I believe in da toof fairy - cos Daily Mail said so.

Posting youtube videos of interviews to substack is a nice bonus. Some of them are even worth listening to. But I prefer your written analysis. I accept that it's more work to write well and thus we should not expect new articles everyday so the videos/interviews are a nice supplement, but what I really look for is your long form writing and analysis both on actual market conditions and money theory.

Thank you for this - I've seen Colonel Macgregor elsewhere and he is most interesting. I struggle with his view of Putin, which I believe applies to the past. I see today's Putin as a monster absolutely corrupted by absolute power, though I'm willing to accept there may be worse in the wings. I believe his special military invasion of Ukraine was an ill-informed blunder - it's just a pity that the US and Europe have spent the last few years making him look like a genius. Certainly the Europeans (I include us Brits) need to realise that the US is at our side until they leave. I was starting to feel downcast by the Colonel's summary of the state of play, probably because there's too little to contradict, until I realised that aside from making preparation for the financial shocks heading our way, for which thank you Alasdair, there's bugger all I can do about it.
