I listened to this last night on L & F. It's all very interesting and worrying at the same time but what got me thinking is that in out "wonderful Parliament" the opposition likes nothing better than blaming the other side for everything.

On the subject of the economy they are silent 🤔 So, the expected new Chancellor, one Rachel Reeve, either has no idea what she is about to "inherit" or Labour are well aware and are in on the big picture. Did she go to the States not so long ago to get her orders? What was Starmer doing in Germany recently, getting his orders? Rachel is ex BoE, not that's anything to shout about given their track record, in any other business Bailey would be out on his backside long ago. It's all to suspicious as to why they are so quiet, it's out of character. Granted, she must be Keynesian through and through but surely just looking around she must see the signs 🤔. If not then the UK is screwed 🤦‍♂️

Simon— I wouldn't take the job. Hang on, I could take it and then threaten to shut the BoE down if they don't accept my new gold standard!

Simon Gedye . 12th March

I think that ' Mitch ' here in his closing line per - " If not then the UK is Screwed " is pretty much stating the obvious . This will ultimately turn out to be the final mega - screwing of the UK citizenry

at the hands of T.P.T.B - possibly being the most recent & final screwing before this whole system circle's the gurgler before disappearing down in to the abyss - never ( hopefully ) to be seen

again . The UK's finest Orator & most recently re-elected M.P. , George Galloway , in opining that Labour or Conservative - they are simply different cheeks of the same oh so sorry Arse is as ever completely accurate in his assessment . Rachel Reeves is for sure a Keynesian & will surely prove to be as ( or more ) useless than Jeremy Hunt and those that went before him . As regards Andrew Bailey and his tenure in the hot seat at the B Of E - " disaster darling - complete disaster " . We need another ' Macleod ' back either as Chancellor or as the new Governor over in Threadneedle Street - if only to shut it down in a timely and orderly fashion - & soon ..?? / Simon
